Type species. Leptoneta striata Oi, 1952
Diagnosis. The genus Falcileptoneta is separated from all other leptonetids by the following combination of the male palpal characters: femur lacking a row of strong spine (present in some species); tibia with 1–3 retrolateral tibial apophyses (in some species degenerated to spine or setae); tarsus undivided, apically blunt without a tapering process. Additionally, the female genital characters include: spermathecal stalks coiled once or twice; spermathecae oval.
