Type material. Holotype ♂ and 1♂ paratype, SOUTH AFRICA: Mpumalanga, Pilgrim’s Rest, Mariepskop, Bush Pig Trail, 24º34’S, 30º52’E, 19.VI.2013, L. de Beer leg. ( NMBA 16818).

Etymology. The species name is a patronym for Len de Beer, collector of the type specimens.

Diagnosis. Cheiramiona debeeri sp. nov. is similar to C. lajuma Lotz, 2002 in the general shape of EM and TA, but is differentiated by the basal hollow in the RTA ( Figs 8–9 View FIGURES 1 – 12. 1 – 3 , see Lotz 2002: figs 110–111).

Description. Male (n = 2): TL = 6.45 (6.3–6.6); CL = 2.95 (2.9–3.0); CW = 1.95 (1.9–2.0); OAL = 0.40 (0.4– 0.4); OAW = 1.20 (1.2–1.2); CLL = 0.10 (0.1–0.1). Chelicerae: robust with long fangs; PMT:RMT = 5:4 ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1 – 12. 1 – 3 ). Measurements: AME–AME 0.15; AME–ALE 0.20; AME diameter 0.15; PME–PME 0.20; PME–PLE 0.25; PME diameter 0.15; MOQAW 0.45; MOQPW 0.50; CI (CL/CW) 1.45; LL:CL 7.45; STL 1.3; STW 1.2. Leg measurements: I—5.5+1.2+6.0+6.5+2.4 = 21.6; II—3.2+1.1+3.0+3.3+1.0 = 11.6; III—2.4+0.9+1.9+2.5+0.8 = 8.5; IV—3.6+1.1+3.3+4.0+1.0 = 13.0; Palp—1.6+0.6+1.0+0.9 = 4.1. Leg spines: I—0, 0- 1 v-0, 2v- 0-0; II—0-1p-0, 0- 1 v-1p, 2v-2 v1 p1r- 3v; III—0-0-1p1r, 0-0-1p1r, 2v-2 v1 p1r-3 v1 p1r; IV—0- 1 v-1r, 0- 1 v-1r, 2 v1 p-2 v1 p1r-3 v1 p1r. Abdomen: creamy-yellow with dark heart mark and dark markings laterally and posteriorly to heart mark. Palp ( Figs 8–9 View FIGURES 1 – 12. 1 – 3 ): cymbium elongate, slightly shorter than tibia; tibia with short thick RTA with a hollow at its base; in lateral view, RTA bluntly pointed dorsally; TA slightly sclerotized, curved towards EM; EM short, thick, with narrow pointed apex; CON not sclerotized, indistinct present next to narrow part of EM. Female: unknown.

Distribution. Only known from the type locality ( Fig. 97 View FIGURES 97 – 100 ).

Habitat. Collected from vegetation in Afromontane forest.
