Type:— CHINA. Yunnan: Zhiziluo [Fugong], 4 Sept. 1934, Xi-Tao Cai 58341 (lectotype IBSC-0003705!, here designated; isolectotypes LBG-00077758!, KUN-450763, NAS-00071858!, PE-00024991). Remaining syntypes:— CHINA. Yunnan: without precise locality, Xi-Tao Cai 57613 (IBSC-0003704!, KUN-450762, NAS-00071857!, PE-00024492!, PE-00024493!) .

Two gatherings, Xi-Tao Cai 58341 and 57613, were designated as male and female “type” in Chinese, respectively, in the protologue ( Chang 1954). Among all the sheets found in the five herbaria, the one we designate as the lectotype is in the best conditions. This species was originally described from Yunnan and it occurs in SE Xizang, NW Yunnan ( Ming & Bartholomew 2007).
