Generitype of Helicteres Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 186. 1929).

Current name: Helicteres isora L. View in CoL ( Sterculiaceae ).

Note: Leach (in Jarvis & al., Regnum Veg. 127: 52. 1993) designated the cited Rheede plate as type but this choice is pre-dated by that of Howard, as noted by Cristóbal (in Bonplandia 11: 170. 2001).
