Omineus Lewis 1895:119 . Type species (by monotypy): Omineus humeralis Lewis
1895:119. Pseudothisias Pic 1930:23 . Type species (by monotypy): Pseudothisias bicolor Pic
1930:24, new synonym.
When Pic (1930) described Pseudothisias , he compared his new genus with Thisias Champion , hence the name; he was obviously unaware of Omineus Lewis or Phalysius Champion (1916) (a synonym of Omineus ), or at least did not recognize the similarities among these genera.
