Physcius gracilicornis Pic 1927:33 ; Blair 1928:31. HOLOTYPE. Sex unknown, labelled ‘‘ Australie /type/TYPE/? Physcius gracilicornis n sp,’’ in MNHN, Pic Coll.
Trichosalpingus Blackburn is the most diverse genus of Eurypinae in Australia ( Blair 1928), and is the Australian equivalent of Physcius , both in terms of diversity and general body shape. As is obvious from a label on the type specimen, Pic (1927) was unsure about the placement of P. gracilicornis . This is reflected also by Blair (1928), who put a question mark next to this species.
