Phaeogala Fairmaire 1896:353 . Type species (by monotypy): Phaeogala griscesens Fairmaire, 1896:354 .

Falsostictodrya Pic 1931:17 . Type species (by monotypy): Falsostictodrya biimpressa Pic, 1931:17 , new synonym.

Pic (1931) compared Falsostictodrya with Stictodrya Champion (1916) ; as mentioned above, Pic seems to have been unaware of the genus Phaeogala Fairmaire early in his career, although he did later describe a species of Phaeogala ( Pic 1945) .
