The new species can be distinguished from congeners by the head and the thorax covered with yellowish-white scales dorsally; the forewing with a large, yellowish-white triangular costal patch followed by the broadly elongated, yellowish-white streak before apex; the fringe yellowish white from beyond apex to tornus.

Head: frons and vertex yellowish white. Antenna longer than forewing, about 1.3 times; scape elongated, slightly broadened distally, brownish dorsally; flagellum yellowish white, without annulations. Second segment of labial palpus ( Fig. 5C View FIGURE 5 ) thickened, slightly arched, fuscous brown in basal 2/3 on outer surface, paler toward apex; 3rd segment slender, as long as 2nd segment, fuscous brown dorsally and ventrally, yellowish white on lateral sides.
Thorax: tegula fuscous brown anteriorly; thorax yellowish white medially with dark-brown scales laterally. Hind tibia with dark-brown rough scales dorsally beyond median spurs. Forewing ground color fuscous brown; costa gently arched around 1/3; costal patch very large, triangular, lower corner reached to lower margin of discal cell, followed by broadly elongated, yellowish-white streak before apex; apex obtuse; termen oblique; fringe fuscous brown near apex, yellowish white from beyond apex to tornus. Hindwing ground color as same as that of forewing, without any markings; apex sharply produced; termen oblique, not sinuate; fringe concolorous.
Abdomen: fuscous brown dorsally, with some white scales laterally.
Female genitalia ( Figs 5D–F View FIGURE 5 ): Abdominal sternite VIII deeply emarginated into U-shape at middle, with sclerotized lateral margins. Apophyses anteriores short, about 1/4 the length of apophyses posteriores. Pregenial plate of sternite VII, cup-shaped, sclerotized with specifically modified as in Fig. 5E View FIGURE 5 . Antrum elongated as long as sternite VIII, membranous. Ductus bursae broad, long, about 2.5 times the length of corpus bursae. Corpus bursae ovate; signum bowl-shaped with numerous spinules, slightly narrowed anteriorly.
Male unknown.
Distribution. Indonesia (N. Sumatra).
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin, lata (= broad, wide), referring to the broad yellowishwhite patch on the costa before apex of the forewing.
