Vernacular Names: Malagasy Slit-faced Bat.

Distribution: N Madagascar.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Data Deficient.

Discussion: macrotis species group. Known from only two specimens. Often included in macrotis (e.g., Koopman, 1993, 1994; Van Cakenberghe and De Vree, 1985) but see Peterson et al. (1995).
