Artbeschreibung: 30-80 cm hoch, Ähnlich wie P. rhoeas , aber Fruchtkapsel länglich-keulenförmig, kahl, allmählich in den Stiel verschmälert, 2-4x so lang wie dick, Blütenstiele zuoberst anliegend behaart, Kronblätter 1,5-3 cm lang, heller als bei P. rhoeas . Narbenstrahlen 5-8.
