Notes

Spines shorter than body width and of uniform length. Maximum recorded size: 20 cm across. Colouration variable, from dark red to pale orange with distinct white bands or a pale white with distinct red bands. Positive species identification requires microscopic examination. Collected specimens belonged to Mircpoyga cf. tuberculata . (Fig. 141).
