Ficus coerulescens (Rusby) Rossberg, Repert. View in CoL Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. 42: 61. 1937
≡ Urostigma coerulescens Rusby, Bull. View in CoL New York Bot. Gard. 6: 499. 1910.
Lectotype (designate here): — BOLIVIA. Mapiri , 17 September 1901, R. S.Williams 800 ( NY!, isolectotype: K!).
Nomenclatural notes:— The protologue did not mention the herbarium where the type of F. coerulescens was deposited. Berg & Villavicencio (2004) and Berg (2009) indicated Williams 800 (NY) as the holotype; however, this should not be considered a lectotypification because it occurred after 2001 and the phrase “designated here” or similar phrase was not used ( Turland et al. 2018, Art. 7.11). Here, we agree with Berg & Villavicencio (2004) and Berg (2009) and designate Williams 800 (NY) as the lectotype of the species.
