Ficus bunquensis Dugand, Caldasia View in CoL no. 4: 32. 1942.
Lectotype (designated here):— COLOMBIA. Cundinamarca, El Peñon, 2 November 1940, Jaramillo 28 (COL-3807!, isolectotypes: COL-3806!, F!, MEDEL!, US!).
Nomenclatural notes:— The protologue cites that the holotype of F. bunquensis was deposited in the herbarium COL; however, there are two preparations from a single gathering (Jaramillo 28) there. There is neither clear indication on the label suggesting these two preparations are parts of the same specimen nor a single original label in common ( Turland et al. 2018, Art. 8.3); therefore, we consider them as duplicates. Based on this, we designate here Jaramillo 28 (COL-3807) as the lectotype because this specimen contains branches, leaves, syconia, and stipules.
Taxonomical notes:— The currently accepted name for this taxon is Ficus coerulescens .
