Ficus microclada Dugand, Caldasia View in CoL no. 4: 56, fig. 8. 1942.
Lectotype (designated here): — COLOMBIA. Caquetá, Florencia , 1 April 1940, Cuatrecasas 8989 (COL-3989!; isolectotypes: F!, US!).
Nomenclatural notes:— The protologue does not state the name of the herbarium where the type of F. microclada was deposited. Berg (2009) considers Cuatrecasas 8989 (COL) as the type, which could be considered a lectotypification, but it occurred after 2001 and “designated here” or similar phrase was not used ( Turland et al. 2018, Art. 7.11). Here, we legitimize Berg’s selection because the specimen at COL contains branches, leaves, stipules, and syconia.
Taxonomical notes:— The currently accepted name for this taxon is Ficus schippii .
