3 female syntypes from: ECUADOR (unknown municipality): " Equador \ Dirings[hofen collection.]", "♀", " Hypsoprora View in CoL \ maculata View in CoL \ n.sp. - Fonseca \ [reverse] det. J. P. Fonseca", " Hypsoprora View in CoL \ maculata View in CoL \ n.sp. \ [reverse] det. J.P. Fonseca", "[red label] Cotypus". All specimens double-mounted on minuten. First female in excellent state of preservation. Second female: right mesothoracic leg lacking tarsomeres. Third female: left metathoracic leg lacking tarsomeres.
