Male holotype from BRAZIL: São Paulo: Bertioga: " 1943 \ SÃO PAULO \ Bertioga ", "Coleção \ PINTO DA \ FONSECA", "[red label, Sakakibara’s handwriting] HOLOTYPUS \ Cyphonia pygmaea \ A. M. Sakakibara 19 68 ". Double-mounted on minuten, left prothoracic leg absent, right prothoracic tarsus detached from leg, glued to pin, right metathoracic leg lacking tarsomeres.
