Remarks. The material from Sarawak listed above represents the first record of A. ecornuta from Borneo. As the measurements of male specimens from Sarawak differ somewhat from those provided by Lieftinck (1940), they are given here. Males: abdomen plus appendages 40–44.5 mm, Hw 23–25 mm. Females: abdomen with ovipositor 42.5– 43 mm, Hw 26.5– 27 mm. In contrast to the other species treated here, A. ecornuta lacks a prominent epiproct.
The genital opening of male A. ecornuta is placed less apically on the sternum of S9 than in the other species considered here, so that the tips of the genital valves fall well short of the sternum of S10 ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 15 – 17 ). In the other species the tips of the genital valves overlap the sternum of S10 at least to some extent ( Figs. 15, 17 View FIGURES 15 – 17 ). The shape of the genital valves is distinctive, and possibly of some diagnostic value.
