Distribution. Known only from the type locality: Croatia: cave Žejava jama on the island of Brač.
Remarks. The original description lacks drawings. Attems (1959) re-described the species and provided illustrations of the gonopods and other body parts. He listed T. lobifer , along with another 5 species, in the subgenus Mesoporoiulus Verhoeff, 1905 . Strasser (1962) accommodated T. lobifer in a new monotypic subgenus— Inversotyphlus .
