Remarks. Dendrobaenavenetaveneta isquitewidelyspreadallovertheLe- vantandpossiblyendemicintheregion. TheLevantinespecimensdifferfrom thewidelyintroducedformsbytheirpalercolorationandmissingthestriped appearanceofthepigmentation. Theyarealsofrequentlyfoundintheopen
parkforestswithdominantoaks. FurtherDNAstudiesareneededtoclearthe taxonomicpositionofthedifferent veneta forms.
