Type species here designated: Pseudoeurycorypha civilettorum n. sp.
Description. The description of this genus, being presently monotypic, is also the description of the sole known species. Thus, only those general characters that distinguish this genus from others of the same subfamily have been included in the diagnosis. The new genus Pseudoeurycorypha is very characteristic for the absence of a spine on the fore coxae, the elongate and oval eyes, the face with evident frontogenal carinae, whitish oblique veinlets on tegmina, rounded dorsal margins of fore tibiae, and pronotum as long as it is high.
Etymology. Pseudoeurycorypha n. gen. is named after the vague resemblance to some small species of Eurycorypha (tribe Amblycoryphini ). The name Pseudoeurycorypha means ‘false’ (from Greek ψευδής) Eurycorypha .
