Asterolecanium bornmuelleri Rübsaamen, 1902: 316 .

Comments: This species was described from specimens collected on Quercus persica ( Fagaceae ) in South Persia, Fars province near Myan-Kotel, between Shiraz and Kazeroun ( Rübsaamen 1902). Russell (1941) was unable to trace the type material; she remarked that no specimens had been available for study, and the original description is incomplete. There are no specimens of this species in the Hayk Mirzayans Museum, Tehran, Iran.
