Artbeschreibung: 10-40 cm hoch, unverzweigt und einköpfig, von kurzen Sternhaaren graugrün. Stängel mit wenigen winzigen Blattschuppen, sonst blattlos. Köpfe vor dem Aufblühen nickend. Hülle 1-1,8 cm lang. Früchte 5-8 mm lang. Blüten gelb. Pappus gelblich-weiss, äussere Borsten sehr kurz, innere federig.
