Aristolochia nevesarmondiana Hoehne (1925: 7)

Lectotype (designated here):— BRAZIL. Rio de Janeiro: Carmo, s.d. (fl.), Neves Armond 151 ( SP No. 8728 barcode SP000408 !; the image of the lectotype is available at http://plants.jstor.org/stable/viewer/10.5555/al.ap.specimen. sp000408).

Nomenclatural notes:— Hoehne (1925) in the protologue cited two specimens collected in Carmo, Rio de Janeiro state by Dr. Neves Armond with numbers Neves Armond 151 and Neves Armond 138, deposited in the herbaria R and SP, respectively. Both exsiccata housed at R have two specimens and two labels each (numbers 151 and 138) making them unsuitable for lectotypification. Given that the material in SP is correctly labeled with the number 151, this sheet is here designated as lectotype.

Aristolochia pandurata Jacquin (1804: 49)

Lectotype (designated by González et al. 2015: 53):—“ Aristolochia pandurata ” in Jacquin, Pl. Hort. Schoenbr. 4: t. 497. 1804.

Taxonomic notes:— Aristolochia odoratissima var. pandurata is a heterotypic synonym of A. odoratissima L. (see Pfeifer, 1966).
