Remarks. This species is cosmopolitan. It has been frequently reported on different crops in India. This species has been observed on herbaceous plants and fruit trees especially in apple orchards. According to a recent phylogenetic analysis (Tsolakis et al., 2012), N. fallacis would belong to a genus defined by Athias-Henriot and not considered in the revision of the family Phytoseiidae of Chant & McMurtry (2007): Cydnodromus .
