[non Jatropha tenuifolia (Pohl) Steud. , = Manihot pentaphylla subsp. tenuifolia (Pohl) D.J.Rogers & Appan ]. Type:— PARAGUAY. Gran Chaco, Loma Clavel.: Gran Chaco, Loma Clavel, November 1903, É. Hassler 2490 (lectotype G-00307056!, designated here; isolectotypes BM-000504587!, G-00307057!, G-00307059!, G-00307060!, GH-00139288!, K-000254143!, P-00545631).
Distribution:— Paraguay.
Notes: —The holotype in B was destroyed, although there is photo of it: Berlin Negative # 5402!. We designate as lectotype the specimen G-00307056 because it has flowers and fruits, and is housed in an herbarium with three other isolectotypes. Breckon labeled as “ lectotype ” the specimen GH-00139288, but this lectotypification was never published.
