Nycticryphes semicollaris (Vieillot, 1816)
Observations. ARGENTINA • 1 (no sexual dimorphism); Corrientes, La Cruz, Paraje Tres Cerros; 29°06′ 34′′S, 056°55′23′′W. Hard to detect. We recorded one in- dividual after a rain, foraging in a short-grass wetland near the reservoir GoogleMaps .
Identification. Bill long, decurved; golden V shape on back, and white stripe on crown and supercilium.
