Report as epibiont on rotifers: The species was found on an unidentified rotifer from Hamburg, Germany ( Kahl 1935). Schödel (2018) also mentioned it as epibiont on rotifers of the genus Mytilina .
Remarks: This species is also reported on various crustaceans e.g., Cladocera— Daphnia galeata Sars, 1864 , Daphnia hyalina Leydig, 1860 , Daphnia sp. , Sida crystallina (O.F. Müller, 1776) , Leptodora kindtii (Focke, 1844) ; Amphipoda — Gammarus tigrinus Sexton, 1939 ; Copepoda — Macrocyclops albidus (Jurine, 1820) ; Megacyclops viridis (Jurine, 1820) ( Morado & Small 1995; Fernandez-Leborans & Tato-Porto 2000a; Chatterjee et al. 2013; Mayén-Estrada & Dias 2021).
