Report as epibiont on rotifers: Reported as Vorticella conochili attached to the gelatinous tubules of the rotifer Conochilus volvox View in CoL from USA ( Stokes 1889). Reported as Vorticella conochili in the mucus of the rotifer Conochilus unicornis View in CoL from France ( Faure-Fremiet 1948), The Netherlands ( De Graaf 1953), and the Czech Republic (MoravcováHassdenteufelová 1956); on Conochilus sp. from Germany ( Schödel 2018).
