Stems often diffuse or ascending, whitish-floccosetomentose. Leaves narrowly obovate-spathulate, shortly acute or obtuse, sometimes subentire, more or less densely floccosetomentose. Capitula usually 4-5 cm in diameter. Outer achenes as in subsp. (a). S. W. Spain, S. W. Portugal.
