Like 38 but leaves heterotrichous, hirsute or glabrescent and pubescent on margin and veins, rather shiny, with linear-lanceolate lateral lobes (l-5-)2-3-5(-5) mm wide; calyx (9-)10- to 15(-18)-dentate; corolla purplish. 2л = 40. Stony limestone slopes. • Mountains of W. Jugoslavia, from c. 43° to c. 45° N. Ju. Morphological intermediates between 39 and 38 occur.
