Leaves greyish-green, arachnoid-pubescent; lower cauline oblong-lanceolate; upper linear-lanceolate, remotely denticulate to sinuately lobed. Capitula in dense corymbs. Involucre 12-16 mm in diameter; appendages lacerate or lacerate-fimbriate. S'. W. part of U.S.S.R.
