Aliceia Dautzenberg & Fischer, 1897 View in CoL
Type species: Aliceia aenigmatica Dautzenberg & Fischer, 1897 by original designation
Remarks: Aliceia has a projection of the outer lip, forming a canal around the anal sinus. This projection is retained as the animal grows, similarly to Tylotia Melvill, 1917 and Eldridgea Barstch, 1934 . The protoconch is keeled at the middle, sculptured with axial riblets on its lower portion, as seen in Famelica Bouchet & Warén, 1980 . The genus, however, is unique in having a deep and broad umbilicus; this trait is not observed in any other turrid species.
