Type specimen. Holotype: female, Côte d’Ivoire, Mt. Tonkoui [Tonkpi], 10 km WNW Man (Südosthang), Sekundärregenwald, 7°26′ n. Br. 7°38′ w. L. ca. 980 mNN, 25 viii 1997 LF (125W HQL), leg. T. Karisch, gen. slide no. GU-3888/Karisch, in SDEI. GoogleMaps

Diagnosis. The new species is superficially similar to D. kakumensis Park, 2020 which was described from Ghana, but it can be distinguished from the latter by the yellowish-white head dorsally, and the female genitalia with uniquely modified ostium bursae and the signum with much larger upper lip and broader central groove.

Description. Female ( Figs. 9A, A View FIGURE 9 2 View FIGURE 2 ). Wingspan: 14.0 mm

Head: Yellowish white dorsally. Antenna as long as forewing; scape elongated, broadened distally, fuscous; flagellum pale grayish white, without distinct annulations, finely ciliate. Second palpomere of labial palpus thickened, arched, creamy white, speckled with fuscous scales; 3 rd palpomere slender, strongly upturned, slightly shorter than 2 nd palpomere.

Thorax: Collar dark brown, creamy white dorsally; thorax pale grayish white speckled with dark-brown scales. Hind tibia roughly scaled, with dark-brown piliform scale-tuft medially, followed by yellowish-white distal part, brownish apically; tarsi yellowish white. Forewing ground color dark brown; basal fascia narrow, creamy white; antemedian band creamy white, broadened at costa, arched; a crescent white fascia present near upper corner of discal cell; postmedian band narrow, creamy white, triangularly broadened at costa, convex medially, sharply angled outwardly on CuA 2 costa slightly convex beyond 2/3; apex produced; termen concave medially; fringe dark brown, with creamy-white basal line. Hind wing grayish brown; postmedian band yellowish white, triangularly broadened at costa, sharply angled on vein CuA 2, not extended to tornus; apex produced, acute; fringe creamy white, with grayish brown median line.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 9B View FIGURE 9 ): Abdominal sternite VIII deeply emarginated medially, with subovate lateral lobes. Apophyses anteriores about 3/5 the length of apophyses posteriores. Ostium bursae uniquely modified, with lateral rods connected to base of the emargination of sternite. Antrum membranous, weakly developed, tube-like, about 1/4 the length of ductus bursae. Ductus bursae broader than antrum, about 2 times the length of corpus bursae, narrowed in distal 1/5; ductus seminalis arising from beyond middle. Corpus bursae large, ovate; signum with broad median groove; upper plate large, hat-shaped with serrated margins; lower plate narrow.

Male unknown.

Distribution. Ivory Coast (Montagne District).

Etymology. Named after the multiple striation on the forewings.
