Diagnosis. This new species is superficially similar to D. pedalis Park, 2020 which was described from Uganda, but can be distinguished by the slightly zigzagged antemedian band (in D. pedalis , the band is nearly straight); postmedian band triangularly broadened at costa, convex medially and strongly bent inwardly, with sharp angle on CuA 2 (simply oblique inwardly in D. pedalis ).
Description. Female ( Fig. 10A, A View FIGURE 10 2 View FIGURE 2 ). Wingspan 12.5 mm. Head: Antenna slightly shorter than forewing; scape elongated, broadened distally, dark brown dorsally, whitish ventrally; flagellum yellowish white, pale yellowish in distal half, finely ciliate. Second palpomere of labial palpus thickened, slightly arched, orange white on outer surface, fuscous dorsally; 3 rd palpomere slender, strongly upturned, shorter than 2 nd palpomere, orange white, brownish dorsally and ventrally. Thorax: White, soot brown dorsally. Hind tibia dark brown, with long, soot-brown piliform scales medially before median spurs followed by creamy-white band, with soot-brown scales apically; spurs whitish, more brownish tinged in basal half. Forewing ground color dark brown; antemedian band narrow, yellowish white, zigzagged, triangularly broadened toward costa, convex medially and strongly bent inwardly, then sharply angled on CuA 2, terminated at inner margin; submarginal band very narrow, whitish, slightly zigzagged; costa slightly arched; apex obtuse; termen sinuate; fringe dark brown, with a yellowish-white basal line. Hind wing grayish brown, with yellowish-white submarginal line, arising from near apex and terminated at M 2; apex more or less acute; termen slightly sinuate; fringe concolorous, with a narrow whitish basal line.
Abdomen ( Fig. 10C View FIGURE 10 ): Dark brown dorsally. Spinous zones weakly developed on dorsal surface.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 10B View FIGURE 10 ): Abdominal sternite VIII broadly emarginated with subovate lateral lobs bearing dense setae. Apophyses anteriores about 3/5 the length of apophyses posteriores. Ostium bursae concave. Antrum jar-shaped with convex lateral margins, weakly sclerotized, shortened, about 1/10 the length of ductus bursae. Ductus bursae broader, long, with sparsely conical spines than antrum, more than 4 times the length of corpus bursae. Corpus bursae large, ovate; signum large, elliptical, transversally elongated, with broad median groove between upper and lower plates, nearly symmetrical, with dense short conical spines.
Male unknown.
Distribution. Ivory Coast (Montagne District).
Etymology. Derived from the Latin, medius (= middle) and linea (= line, band), referring to the linear antemedian line on the forewing.
