Notes. The Peruvian material seems to constitute an infrequent form of the species, with the columella exceeding half of the height of the sporotheca ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ), while forms with short or lacking columella usually predominate ( Martin & Alexopoulos 1969).
