Specimen examined. PERU. Apurimac: Abancay, Tamburco, Abancay , Ampay National Sanctuary , canal dam, 3124 m, 13º35′56”S, 72º52′44”W, 20 Apr 2016, bark of tree alive, Lado 24572 (MA-Fungi 95849) .

Notes. The Peruvian material seems to constitute an infrequent form of the species, with the columella exceeding half of the height of the sporotheca ( Fig. 4A ), while forms with short or lacking columella usually predominate ( Martin & Alexopoulos 1969).
