Specimen examined. PERU. Huancavelica: Tayacaja, Huando , 4 km at SE of Izcuchaca, 3035 m, 12º30′34.9”S, 74º58′42.8”W, 24 Sep 2012, debris of Cactaceae, Lado 21786 (MA-Fungi 94551) GoogleMaps .

Notes. This species is characterized by its densely baculate spores ( Fig. 3F View FIGURE 3 ). Previously known only from arid areas of Chile, on decayed cacti ( Eulychnia sp. and Echinopsis chiloensis ), between 500- 1,300 m elevation ( Lado et al. 2013). In Peru, it was found at more than 3,000 m elevation, also in decayed cacti.
