Diagnosis: This species is similar to N. compta and N.nitens in having simple paracymbium without branches distally, distal suprategular apophysis with hook-shaped tip of dorsal arm and membranous ventral tip, and the large semicircular atrium opening, but can be distinguished from them by the following characters: 1, the terminal apophysis long, slender, with moderately membranous tip in N. emphana , but short, wide, with strongly chitinous tip in N. compta and N.nitens ; 2, the distal blunt chitinous apical lobe significantly larger than the spermduct-tooth in N. emphana , but almost same in N. compta and N.nitens ; 3, the semicircular opening of atrium with anterior margin notched mesally in N. emphana , but not in N. compta and N.nitens ( Figs 27–28 View FIGURE 27 View FIGURE 28 , 29 View FIGURE 29 C–E, 21–22, 23C–E, 47– 48, 49C–E).
