Holotype: — KENYA. Western Province: Kakamega, Kakamega Forest, Kisere Forest Reserve , 0°22’33’’N, 34°53’24’’E, 1650 m, in soil or on wet rocks along streams in primary forest, 22 September 2008, P.Kamau 41 (MO-6260287 [digital image!]).

Habitat: —Forest floor or on wet rocks near streams and waterfalls in montane forest, elev. 1732–1865 m.
Distribution in Rwanda:—Western Province: Nyungwe NP, Cyamudongo Forest.
