Habitat:—Epiphyte in montane forest, mostly on stems of Alsophila manniana (Hook. in Hooker & Baker 1865: 21) R.M. Tryon (1970: 30), elev. 1900–2500 m.

Distribution in Rwanda:—Northern Province: Rweru. Western Province: Gishwati-Mukura NP, Nyungwe NP.

General distribution: —Africa: Guinea to Ethiopia, southwards to Rep. South Africa (Northern Province).
