Dunckerocampus boylei ( Kuiter, 1998) View in CoL

Three observations of this species were made in zone 1 between 94 and 110 m depth, in an MCE dominated by sponges (Porifera), soft corals ( Alcyonacea – Holaxonia) and black corals ( Antipatharia ) ( Tab. I; Fig. 2 View Figure 2 ). The specimens measured between 15 and 20 cm (TL). Head and body colouration with approximately 21-22 alternating white and reddish brown rings; caudal fin in the shape of a red paddle edged with white.
