Recorded from: freshwater lakes and/or pools.

Location: Îles Kerguelen.

Note. § ‘It seems likely that [this species] is a senior synonym of Müller’s species [ Ilyocryptus kerguelenensis G. W. Müller, 1908 : Cyprididae ] but Müller’s name is retained because Studer’s description and illustrations ... are not su cient to con rm the possible synonymy’ (Smith and Sayers, 1971). This record is assigned to I. kerguelensis ( sensu Smith and Sayers, 1971 ; Gay, 1981b).
