Notes
The species is commensal in burrows of the bark beetles Scolytus scolytus and Scolytus multistriatus . It usually lives in elm and oak trees on mainly fungi and detritus; sometimes it is also associated with Daldinia concentrica on old ash and with Polyporus squamosus ( Alexander 2002).
