Aphanocapsa sp. ( Fig.7E View FIGURE 7 ).

Colonies round to irregular, 12.93–64.74 µm diam, without sub-colonies. Sheath firm, thin, conspicuous, non-lamellate, hyaline. Cells densely to sparsely disposed, round, 2.27–3.94 µm diam. Without individual envelopes. Cell content granulated, blue-green to pale purple.

Habitat: —Tree bark associate to Chlorogloea sp.2 and Chondrocystis sp.

Notes: —The corticolous habitat, cell dimensions, cell content, color and arrangement are diacritical features that distinguish this morphotype from other Aphanocapsa species.
