Chondrocystis sp. ( Fig. 8F View FIGURE 8 ).
Colonies macro- or microscopic, amorphous, slightly flattened. Sub-colonies densely disposed, sarcinoid, ± rounded, quadratic or polygonal. Sheath firm, thin, smooth, bright green. Cells densely arranged, spherical to hemispherical, 1.33–2.43 µm diam. Without individual envelopes. Cell content homogenous, yellowish-green.
Habitat: —Tree bark associate to Chlorogloea sp.2 and Aphanocapsa sp ..
Notes: —The corticolous habitat and cell color content differ this morphotype from other Chondrocystis species.
