Diagnosis. Species with green, red, violet, brown or bluish pigmentation. Eight rows of regular, closely paired setae. Absent or very thin membrane-shaped septa in the gizzard area; 7–8 pairs of calciferous glands between segments 7– 13 or 8–14 with a composite, reticulate tubular structure. Holandric and metagynic sexual apparatus with testes in segments 10 and 11 and hypo- or periesophageal testis sacs. Short seminal vesicles limited to segments in 11 and 12. Four pairs of spermathecae present in segments 6, 7, 8, 9.
