Treatment

Periscolex Cognetti, 1905 , emend. Michaelsen, 1918; Zicsi, 1992

Diagnosis. Arrangement of the setae in eight rows of setae per segment (lumbricine arrangement) or more than eight rows (perichaetine). Intra-clitellar male pores. A pair of calciferous glands in segment 7 with invaginations and broad iridescence. Metagynic genital system, two testis sacs, and infundibula. Spermathecae present.
