Remarks. Gilbert et al. (2012) included H. boettgeri in their list of Singaporean frogs tested for pathogens, but failed to stipulate that the species is non-native and that samples were taken from frogs in pet stores. Hymenochirus boettgeri is native to central Africa (Channing & R̂del 2019).
