Remarks. MCZ has two specimens of L. belliana catalogued in 1903 and ZMO has one specimen collected in 1898. Leiolepis belliana occupies a wide distribution from Myanmar east to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, south to southern Peninsular Malaysia, and a disjunct population occurs on Pulau Bangka, Indonesia ( Grismer 2011b). Grismer (2011b) stated that there are unconfirmed records from Singapore and Sumatra, either referring to Peters (1971) or the specimens at MCZ and ZMO. As all Leiolepis occupy open areas in coastal and savannah habitats with loose soil ( Grismer 2011b), it is likely L. belliana did not occur in Singapore since Singapore historically did not possess these habitats to any considerable extent.

LKCNHM & NHMUK Museum specimens. No specimens.
