Remarks. As mentioned above, S. melanocephalus was previously considered as S. geminatus until Taylor (1965) and Morgan (1973) removed it as a separate species. Nonetheless, Das (2010) included Singapore as forming part of the distribution for S. geminatus . Sibynophis geminatus is native to Sumatra, Borneo, Java, Bali, and Lombok ( David & Vogel 1996).
