Remarks. Varanus komodoensis is endemic to four islands in Komodo National Park and one island in Flores, Indonesia ( Ciofi & De Boer 2004). Koh (1986) erroneously listed it as occurring in Singapore in a newspaper article, stating that “thankfully it is rare in Singapore ”.
